White Christmas Hot Chocolate - Slow Cooker
Updated: Nov 19, 2019
Holy sweetness! For fans of white chocolate (the most criminally underrated of chocolate flavors) only. Recipe originally found in "Christmas Slow Cooker, Over 250 Hassle-Free Holiday Recipes for the Electric Slow Cooker" by Dominque DeVito. Here's the details:
4 cups of heavy cream
12 cups milk (not skim)
24 oz package of white chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup white peppermint schnapps (optional)
Mini marshmallows (for garnish)
1. Combine the heavy cream and milk in the slow cooker, then stir in the white chocolate chips. Cook on LOW for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
2. When nearly ready to serve, stir in the vanilla extract and peppermint schnapps. Cook on Low for another 5-10 minutes until the liquid is heated through.
3. Serve by ladling into decorative mugs, and garnish with mini marshmallows.
